Sunlight & Nightshade is a video about some of the behaviours associated with Smith-Magenis syndrome, and in this film we ask a number of different families the following questions:
- Can you tell me the best two things about living with or caring for someone with SMS?
- Can you tell me the two most challenging things about living with or caring for someone with SMS?
This film focuses on the behavioural aspects of SMS, in particular the striking contrast between the loving and endearing personality and the challenging and difficult side – sunlight and nightshade! The video shares the highs and lows of living with someone with Smith-Magenis syndrome, but what is truly wonderful is watching the pure unconditional love as each family describes their SMS child (or sibling).
