June 3, 2020

Date:   Saturday 20th June 2020
Time:   All-day event (at a time convenient for you)
Venue: Your home/garden (or a socially-distant space)

Get involved, raise awareness, and support your SMS Foundation. There are three different ways you can join-in, including:

1. Order an SMS Picnic Box & Fundraising Pack

Our SMS Picnic Box is packed with fun things to help you host your own picnic. Boxes arrive with a personal invite to a teddy bear’s picnic and can be addressed to your person with SMS, or children. The boxes also contain the following:

  • A cute mini SMS bear (as pictured below)
  • Personalised picnic invite
  • Sweet treats
  • Fun SMS-friendly picnic recipes
  • A squishy ball that can be used for games or sensory play
  • A £10 Coop voucher towards picnic food (first 50 orders, 1 per SMS household).

There is a “suggested” Picnic Box donation of £17.11 (Price based on the picnic box production costs). Picnic boxes restricted to the UK only.

2. Sponsor My Picnic

Sponsorship is a simple and effective way to raise funds and awareness for the SMS Foundation. Download our tools from our smile.smith-magenis.org website (link below), or set up your own JustGiving fundraising event, and ask friends and family to sponsor your picnic.

3. Share My Picnic

Host your own teddy bears picnic in your garden, or indoors if it is raining. Why not hold a ‘virtual’ picnic and invite family and friends via a video app like Facetime or Zoom? Then share your photos with us on our Facebook page and make a donation. TEXT ‘donate SMS Hug’ to 88802 or make an online donation. Upload photos to our Facebook page.
