Help Support Our Activities

Becoming a Community Supporter is an opportunity to make a tangible difference while gaining enriching experiences along the way.

Our Community Supporters play a vital role in organising and running events, as well as managing various administrative tasks that keep our initiatives running smoothly. Whether you’re helping orchestrate fundraising events or contributing to the behind-the-scenes work that powers our mission, your commitment to providing practical, hands-on support for our community is invaluable.

Our commitment to you will be:

  • You will receive any training and awareness materials necessary.
  • Our remote working environment allows flexibility that fits into your commitments.
  • Supporter meetings will be arranged at times that work best for everyone involved.

Join our dedicated team of Community Supporters, you’ll gain so much in return:

  • You’ll have the satisfaction of knowing that your efforts directly support families living with SMS.
  • You’ll forge lasting relationships and friendships within our vibrant community, and if you’re already a member of our community, your social connections will be enriched.
  • Your input and feedback will be highly regarded, shaping the trajectory of our work and initiatives.
  • You’ll gain a deeper understanding not only of SMS but also of other rare diseases, expanding your knowledge and empathy.
  • For those assisting with organisation and administrative tasks, you’ll have the opportunity to acquire the latest office skills, enhancing your professional toolkit.
  • You’ll be part of a dynamic, creative, and engaged team where your ideas and experiences are valued and encouraged.

Most importantly, your role as a Community Supporter is pivotal to the future success of our charity. You’ll be integral to the team responsible for delivering events, support, and services that make a tangible difference in the lives of those living with SMS.

By joining us, you become a key player in our mission to create a positive future for our SMS community.
