SMS Family Meet-up in Lancashire

Organised by our regional parent supporter Jo Martland, the aim of the day is to let North-West families meet up, see what’s on offer in our area and have some downtime with similar families.

Jo has organised a fantastic family day out at the My-Life centre in Standish, Lancashire. A rough outline of the day includes:

11.00 am – arrival tea/coffee and a tour of the My Life site.
11.30 am – time with the ponies/horses (SMSers) with some grooming (parents/carers can relax and chat).
12.00 – 12.30 pm – lunch.  Either bring a picnic, or My Life has a fantastic cafe you can use.
1.30 pm-  Animal Crafters (for SMS children/adults)
2.00 – 2.30 pm finish.

* The cost of the venue and activities has been covered by The SMS Foundation with a social grant. The £2 p/p charge will go towards a small goody bag on the day for the person with SMS and also helps to encourage attendance. However, we would not want this small charge to prevent any family from coming.
